Suzhou Tanci: Shuo Xue Tan Chang
苏州弹词的艺术传统非常深厚,技艺十分发达。讲究“说噱弹唱”。
Suzhou Tanci, a style of Chinese professional storytelling, has a long tradition and its skills have been highly developed. This kind of art combines Shuo, Xue, Tan, and Chang (narrative, laughing, playing, and singing).
“说”指叙说;“噱”指“放噱”,即逗人发笑;“弹”指使用三弦或琵琶进行伴奏,既可自弹自唱,又可相互伴奏和烘托;“唱”指演唱。
‘Shuo’ refers to narrative; ‘Xue’ means loud laugh, namely, to elicit a laugh from the audience; ‘Tan’ denotes using Sanxian (three-stringed plucked instrument) and Pipa (four-stringed lute) as accompaniments by performers to sing and to contrast with each other; ‘Chang’ refers to singing. |
