Grammar

Phrase structure
Revision: sentences with a subject-predicate construction as the predicate. Examples:
- 你 头  疼。 ( You've got an headache ? )
- 你 肚子 不舒服。 ( You've got an upset stomach. )


The verbal particle 着
When the verbal particle 着 (zhe) comes after a verb, it indicates the manner of the action. Examples:
- 他 站着。 ( He's standing. )
- 你 坐着 说。 ( You talk while sitting. )


The verbal complement 下
The verb 下 (xià) is used as complement, indicating direction. Examples:
- 你 坐下 说。 ( You sit down and talk. )
- 你 放下。 ( Let it down. )
